From the long dark road came a resplendent and familiar looking feminine figure, Oh what’s that, lets take a look from somewhat nearer, The divine goddess never makes an appearance as such, But looking at this exhausted face made her want to interrupt her bubble and ask her Yet a very simple question- ‘What it’s like to be a girl here?’
The goddess appeared in front of the tired woman almost immediately,
Leaving her scared,
The woman jumped in shock and distrust and asked her,
“Are you the same goddess who created this whole universe?”
The goddess smiled facilely and asked her, “So tell me what it’s like to be a girl here?’
The woman continued to walk without looking the goddess in the eye and then pointed towards a bench, placed a little away from where they stood now, as if it was conspired to be there in that very moment for the two women to speak their heart out.
The two women sat on the desk and the subtleties of that moment with the night breeze gently touching their bodies and as if cooing something, made the goddess feel so comfortable, she almost felt she was the other woman- the woman who represented the millions of women living on earth.
The tired woman began speaking, “When you created a woman, you wouldn't have imagined that people out here would consider her strength to be fragile,
Or that her entirety will be related to the presence of a man in her life,
And its all vile, you know,
To put her in containers of various sizes,
With people giving her different advices!
You saw me walking this dark street,

Maybe this was the day we were meant to meet,
I am so tired, goddess! I am so tired of all the religiousness or cultural practices they are running in the name of female foeticide or
Men beating up their wives and daughters mercilessly as if they own her in every right,
This is so derogatory to the modesty of a woman and people out there do this every night,
I don’t know how many women are living a life where their voices aren’t heard, their opinions aren’t considered and they are sacrificed each day as if this was the sole purpose of their life,
This is not just the case,
You see women walking wrapped in full clothes walking up the street and as if that wasn’t enough to incite the wrongful acts,
The men caught in 'black acts' enter with scene with society at their backs,
Adjudging the character and integrity of the woman from every angle,
Tell me what is this goddess? The inhumane danger from an inconsequential terror ridden triangle?
Oh what if a woman refuses to be in that territory,
What if she maps her own geography,
What if she says no,
"This isn't the norm", they say and let her burn in the face of their ego!
I am sure this isn't the world you created her to live in,
I am sure this isn't the world you'd ever imagined,
But here it is unfolding in its worst possible ways and even with all this,
All these epitomes of strength, all these wonderful women are taking it courageously each day,
Because that's how we've been raised.
To face it each day!
We don't give up, we fight till the motives are right.
The woman sighed now and the goddess acknowledged her with a comforting nod. Before she got up and returned to the mystical sphere from where she initially appeared, she made sure that her words were escalated to every woman, then and there.
She looked into the eyes of the woman and said powerfully-"Sure you have been made to believe that this is the norm,
But it's bound to change for woman, you are a storm!
Meant to devastate each soul trying to shatter you,
At the same time being the strength to breakthrough!
And that my girl, is what it's like to be a girl in here!"
