The mother of Romina Ashrafi, a 13-year-old Taleshi killed by her father last June, said the court's verdict was only nine years in prison for my husband and two years for Bahman Khavari (the man Romina ran away with). In an interview with ILNA, Rana Dashti, the mother of Romina Ashrafi Said, despite the judicial authorities' insistence in handling this case, the court verdict has left us in terror. She expressed her intention to make an appeal for this case as she does not want her husband to return to the village.
Ms. Dashti said that having spent 15 years of her life with Romina's father, she has no interest or hope to continue her life with her husband. "He inflicted this disaster on us, and I am dreadfully worried about the life of my only son and my family," Romina's mother said.
