Coco Says "Sports Is About Skill Not Gender"

The sixteen-year-old tennis sensation gave a fitting reply to a Tik Tok user who tried to pull her down through a sexist remark. The user wrote, "she wouldn’t be able to compete or beat a male tennis player because she’s a girl." To which, Cori Coco Gauff replied, sports is about skills than gender. She said, "As an athlete, I have no problem in people saying they are better than me because their skill level is better than me, but if you think you are better than me for the sole reason that you think you're a boy and I'm a girl... That doesn't make any sense.”
