This 11 letter word can make students choke on their food or sweat profusely. It is also considered as the scariest nightmare for an average scoring student. But why exactly is it so tough to think about? Why is it the reason for a student's stress and anxiety?
Listed below are some causes which compel students to take stress:
1. Fear of disappointing parents and loved ones
Every sane student has once in a lifetime thought about his/her parents' reaction to their academic results. Students may think of the number of sacrifices their parents have made for them and how irresponsible and ungrateful they've been towards their hard-working parents. This causes stress and anxiety because students know that their parents won't show the pain and hurt that they feel.
2. The expectation of teachers
The teachers who work really hard along with the students do expect a certain score from their students which causes an invisible pressure on the student's mind. hurt that they feel.
3. Competition with friends
When they see their friends studying hard and completing the syllabus or course early, students begin to feel that they're incompetent and incapable of doing anything and they start getting scared of exams and results.
So what's the solution to this endless stress? How to overcome anxiety and not worry too much about the outcome??
Here's the solution: There is an Indian idiom which says, "Karm karo, fal ki chinta mat karo" which means that you need to perform your duties honestly and not worry about the consequences because whatever you do, the result will be according to your performance. It's a phrase said by Lord Krishna himself, to his friend Arjuna. Many students nowadays wait for the day before the exam to start or complete their course of study.
Here are 4 steps which can help managing stress during exams
1. Believe in yourself
Believing in yourself and knowing that you're capable helps in reducing stress. All we need to do is look in the mirror and accept that we can do it, which will motivate us to continue studying.
2. Know your method
There's always a certain method to study such as waking up early and studying and then sleeping early or waking up late but studying the whole night. Find out what best suits you.
3. Taking breaks
There are some students who believe in studying continuously for hours or 30 minutes. One needs to find the category in which one lies but one should never skip breaks.
4. Distractions
We all know that mobile phones and TVs are the most distracting items, so how to fight them? It's simple. Ask your family members to switch off mobiles and TVs and then hide the remote and phone. By any chance, if it's important for you to use your mobile, turn on the airplane mode.

So what exactly are you supposed to do in your break time? Here are some suggestions---
1) Make some coffee or tea and eat something while listening to some music.
2) Talk to family members
3)Take a quick nap.
