Renee Gracie, Former Porn Star And Race Driver Is Set To Return To Motorsports

Ex Australian V8 Supercar driver left racing due to lack of funds and financial dearth. She made headlines in June this year with her decision to pursue a career in the adult film industry. The 25-year-old Gracie is now set to return to the racing tracks. Gracie told The Daily Telegraph, "I now have the financial security to get back into it.” She further added, "I can now afford to go racing without worrying about crashing the car. I won’t be reliant on sponsorships."

Gracie's decision to return is based on her financial security after working as the porn star. She, however, would continue her work in the adult film industry as she gears herself to speed on the racing tracks. Gracie has set her eyes on the Super2 development series to mark her return. She's thrilled by the idea of enjoying what she loves the most, but she is also aware that Supercars officials may not approve her return.

In the year 2015, Gracie became the first full-time female competitor in V8 Supercars Dunlop Series in 14 years. At the beginning of 2020, Gracie started struggling with her performance and lack of funds, sponsorship to support her career. She then decided to leave racing and join the adult industry. Gracie told the News Corp, "The pressure I was under in the last couple of years was immense and I don’t want to put myself through that. I don’t need that pressure because I have a career outside racing now. I will be doing it for enjoyment and fun. I have been watching the races and keeping up to date with it. I want to do it again because now I can do it on my own and I can afford to enjoy it.”

For the racing enthusiast, Renee Gracie is a known name. She has taken part in 41 races at the Porsche competition, and later joined Supercars' second-tier competition. She is a two-time Bathurst 1000 competitor who now wishes to return to the single-make Carrera Cup series.
