On Sunday Municipal and Rural Affairs Ministry of Saudi Arabia released a statement saying"An end to gender segregating rules in public". The move is in accordance with the multiple social reforms that have been implemented in recent years under the present Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
As a result, women in Saudi Arabia will now be able to enter cafe's and restaurants through the same entrance as men, and they won't have to sit behind partitions in public places. However, this does not mean that the cafe's have to close the existing partition system or two entrances for men and women, but it merely signifies that women won't be penalised for being in an area exclusively for men or for mixing up with men in public.

The Saudi Prince has been curtailing the immense powers of the country's religious police who are responsible for the enforcement of conservative social norms in the past.
Before the release of the statement, men and women who are not related to each other were prohibited to mix in public. This includes segregation of men and women in Government schools, universities etc.
We see progress even though it's in the name of attracting more business in the country, but it's progress nevertheless. Hope to see Saudi women flourishing in the near future.
