The Prettier Me

I buried the young girl in me when I got married! I sacrificed my dreams, my passion when I began a family. I shut the door to my soul so hard that I may not hear the voice of my soul crying. Not that I was forced to do so. But I kept prioritising everyone else before me. Reminiscing the golden days of my lifetime I deliberately left the door open. And this day I made myself a promise to live more from intention and less from habit.

I wanted to start afresh from where I left myself 17 years back. I revived my group of girl friends from school. Cherry on the cake was when I landed in Kenya. Solo travelling is mesmerising. It comes with a package loaded with liberty and happiness. I managed to walk past my belief about age and what would people think. “Age is just a number”...I started believing this quote. Social networking was on my Cards. Networking with the people of my choice and not becoming a mannequin of Page 3!!! It is here that I made good friends, revived long lost friendship and found my best friend Ever.of my Life. An inspiration to my life and with whom I am” Real Me.” I lived my life...overcoming hurdles faced and becoming fearless as a bull. Some times you just need to breathe, trust, let go and see what happens. So be it. Young minds and a dapper look is what is necessary.

Pampering oneself is a magnificent experience. At my age, one needs special skin care and staying young is a choice. Getting trained at this age comes with the bundle of advantages. A solo traveller to a totally new place ..missing the mode of transportation....lost in some remote area in the early morning...and finally reaching destination. An unprecedented, unfettered experience!!!! A maverick spirit in vaticination of hope!!! I have put my capabilities to trial by undertaking a challenging venture. Challenging because its off beat!!!

Now that I have managed to break the shackles of the concept of growing Old, as one ages, I have decided to take a pledge, “ Feel Young, be fearless and be Happy”. The adventurous sports are still on my bucket list - Sky diving, bungee jumping and Flying Fox still on my bucket list. If everything goes to the plan, it will be fulfilled in near future. I await those days!!! I have reinforced a lost relation and i.e. “relationship with myself”.
