Vegetable Brown Rice

Ingredients
2 cups of water
1 cup uncooked brown rice
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
2 medium carrots, cut into matchsticks
1 medium onion, chopped
8 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 cup raisins
2 tablespoons olive oil
2-1/2 cups frozen peas (about 10 ounces)
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup pecan halves, toasted
Directions
1. Boil water in a small saucepan, pour rice and basil and boil again. Lower the heat, cover the pan, let it boil until rice is soft and tender. Time took: 30- 35 minutes.
2.Heat olive oil on a medium flame as you prepare to saute the vegetables. Saute until they become light brown. Add peas and salt.
3. Put pecans and boiled rice, mix the vegetables, and stir the rice on low flame for 2 to 3 minutes.

Voila!
Ready to serve, and eat.
