Yael Aflalo is a Californian-based designer who 10 years-ago during a business trip in China came with the idea for a sustainable fashion label. She said, "I was crying and felt sad about the pollution caused by the fashion industry. I could see that organic food was on the rise and I thought there needed to be a sustainability option in fashion, so I set about to build that business."
She had a shop selling repurposed vintage dresses which she turned into the Reformation fashion label. Her clothes are made of eco-friendly fabrics and include leftovers destined for landfill.
Her label is appreciated by the likes of singer Rihanna, actress and businesswoman Jessica Alba and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
