You See Me

I see those eye that look at me

At a girl and at a woman to be

I can feel them following me through the dark

I get scared at the slightest of bark.

As I see myself everyday in front of the mirror

My dreams get shadowed by that terror

Thinking what if some unfortunate day

I’ ll wake up bruised and naked on hay

What if someday my scooty breaks down

And my death makes to the headlines of the town

What if one day I get locked in my classroom

And my preacher subjects me to doom.

What if on my way from a party with a friend

He rapes me following the latest trend!

What if someday I make that shrill ,a cry

And he removes my diaper considering my genitals too dry.

What if someday my saree makes my waist visible

Don’t you think it would be terrible !

I am every other girl and woman that you pass by

Look at me carefully cause today or tomorrow I might die .

Someday I ‘m just bruised, someday just charred .

Lying near the garbage bin or in someone’s yard.

I’ m scared to see you into your eyes

Can’t you hear our tireless cries ?
